A delegation from Xiamen University, led by its party secretary Zhang Rong, today (13 May) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Michael Hui. Both parties held a meeting to discuss the promotion of exchange and collaboration between the universities in the areas of talent development and technological innovation. During the meeting, Rector Song shared UM’s recent development and achievements in academic research and talent development. He also reviewed the history of cooperation between UM and Xiamen University and explored the ongoing projects between the two universities, including a joint talent development programme and an education and research alliance. Zhang expressed hope that the two universities would continue to deepen collaboration and expand the current scope of exchange and collaboration. Members of the delegation visited the UM Gallery, the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (SKL-AMSV), and the Centre for Chinese History and Culture.
