The Research Services and Knowledge Transfer Office aims to coordinate and promote academic research, science & technology innovation, and knowledge transfer of UM, contributing to the University’s ambition of engaging in productive research with recognized international standards and significant local impact.
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) provides a platform for faculty members and students to implement their creative ideas and commercialise their research results. The Centre regularly recruits teams with innovative entrepreneurial intentions and help them successfully take the first step in the transformation of research results during the incubation period by providing them with appropriate guidance and funding.
Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute (ZUMRI) is the University of Macau’s first Demonstration Base for Industry-Education-Research in the Greater Bay Area established in Hengqin New District, Zhuhai. The construction and development of this demonstration base will become a joint hub for Zhuhai and Macao to support the integration of Macau into the country’s overall development and a platform for the science and technology transfer. ZUMRI will promote the industrialization and upgrading of scientific and technological achievements in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
UMTec Limited was founded in 2006 and is the commercial subsidiary of the University of Macau, specialising in providing a variety of business services including: consulting services, knowledge transfer, technology transfer and support, engineering testing, training courses and more. As a commercial arm of the University of Macau, UMTec Limited is committed to promote and transfer the valuable research findings of the University and is authorised by the University to develop and utilise the intellectual properties of the University.
