In celebration of its 45th anniversary, the University of Macau (UM) held a Track and Field Activity on 14 March, which brought together nearly 800 participants, including guests, faculty, students, alumni, family members of UM members, and sports volunteers.
In his opening remarks, UM Rector Yonghua Song gave an overview of the university’s development over the past 45 years. He highlighted that UM, guided by its motto ‘Humanity, Integrity, Propriety, Wisdom, and Sincerity’, is committed to nurturing talent with both a global perspective and a sense of social responsibility. He added that the event captured the UM spirit of ‘Strive Forward and Achieve Beyond’.
A range of activities and competitions when held throughout the day, including a 450m Funny Walk, a 450m RC Relay, and a 2×45m Walking Relay, as well as traditional track and field events such as the 100m, 400m, 1,500m, and 4x100m Relay.
