Zhu Congqian, a PhD student from the University of Macau (UM) Department of Chinese Language and Literature, recently won a national award for best young screenwriter, for a screenplay adapted from his science fiction, Kong Long Ren Yu Wo Zou Chu De Qiu Ji (The Autumn the Dinosaur-man and I Left Behind). The competition received more than 400 submissions from 500 universities in China. Zhu’s book earlier received recommendations from Mo Yan, recipient of the Nobel Prize in literature in 2012; Cao Wenxuan, recipient of the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2016; and Liu Xinwu, winner of the Mao Dun Literature Prize.
