Prof Shui Bing, associate professor from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Law, recently received the only first prize at a national writing competition for law essays on the applicability of China’s civil law and commercial law. The competition received a total of 143 essays from legal practitioners, academic staff and students of law, and those who are interested in the topic. Of the nine essays awarded prizes, Prof Bing’s essay received the only first prize.
