On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the University of Macau (UM), C. Alan Short, president of Clare Hall of the University of Cambridge, extended his congratulations and best wishes to the university via a video message. He also highlighted the strong academic ties and fruitful cooperation between the two universities over the past two decades.
In the video, Prof Short conveyed his warm greetings to UM Rector Yonghua Song and the UM community. He highlighted the fruitful partnership between Clare Hall and UM since the launch of the Cambridge Clare Hall Visiting Fellowship Programme in 2006, and expressed his hope that the two universities will continue to strengthen their cooperation. This year holds special significance, marking not only UM’s 45th anniversary, but also the 60th anniversary of Clare Hall. Prof Short expressed his anticipation for the upcoming ‘Clare Hall, University of Cambridge – University of Macau Forum’, which will take place in June.
