The University of Macau (UM) and the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) recently held a seminar to review the results of their collaborations on scientific research and talent development and to explore opportunities for further collaboration. UM Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector Ge Wei participated in the seminar and warmly welcomed the guests of the event. According to Prof Ge, UM and SIAT have achieved significant results in the integration of their academic resources and strengths in scientific research since 2019, especially in the establishment of scientific research platforms, the training of professionals, and the collaboration on scientific research projects. Cheng Huiming, member of the CAS and director of the Institute of Technology for Carbon Neutrality of SIAT, who is also the honorary dean of the institute’s school of material sciences and engineering, expressed hope that both parties would deepen exchange and collaboration as well as further expand their areas of collaboration.
