The Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Macao Foundation, and the Department of Chinese of the University of Macau (UM) yesterday (27 April) jointly held an international conference on modern public media and literary experience in Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan at UM in an attempt to promote the study of the relationship between modern public media in East Asia and the literature in such former colonies as Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Attendees had in-depth discussions on a range of issues such as the formation, spread and impact of modern literature and culture in China.
