The University of Macau’s (UM) Pearl Jubilee College (PJC) is organising a series of art and cultural workshops on painting, filmmaking, leather craft, ornament making, and baking, to help develop students’ soft skills, enrich their campus life, and support their creative projects. The workshops will take place throughout the whole semester from late September to December 2013. PJC hopes these activities can provide a platform for students to express their creativity and develop communication and interpersonal skills which are necessary for them to achieve success in different aspects of life. More importantly, PJC hopes that the process of creating and sharing can boost the students’ self-confidence and enhance their sense of social responsibility. Some of the students’ works will be donated to charity bazaars.
