A delegation from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) and the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province (GDHRSSD) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by Ge Wei, vice rector of UM. The two parties discussed the Greater Bay Area projects under the Macao Young Scholars Program (MYSP) and exchanged views on talent exchange and cooperation between Macao and Guangdong.
The delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, and the State Key Laboratory of Mechanism and Quality of Chinese Medicine, where they learned about the laboratories’ research progress and achievements. During the meeting, Ge noted that since the launch of MYSP, UM, as a key participating institution, has attracted seven outstanding postdoctoral researchers from Guangdong to join the university, demonstrating the synergy between Macao and Guangdong in cultivating high-level researchers. Zhang Wenmiao, director-general of the Department of Human Resources Market of MOHRSS, and Du Minqi, director-general of GDHRSSD, emphasised that the two departments will coordinate resources, expand the programme’s impact, and encourage more outstanding postdoctoral researchers to take part in joint research projects between Guangdong and Macao. Additionally, mentors and scholars participating in MYSP shared their experiences and research progress at the meeting.
