A delegation led by Li Hu, secretary of the Party Committee of Hainan University, visited the University of Macau (UM) on 14 October and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties had discussions on campus development, academic development, and ways to strengthen cooperation.

During their visit to UM, Li and his delegation were accompanied by Li Yongxian, deputy director of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR. During the meeting, Song highlighted UM’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and talent development, noting that there is ample room for UM and Hainan University to cooperate in areas such as academic development and faculty and student exchange. He also expressed hope that the two universities will promote closer cooperation and collaborative innovation in fields such as ocean science and tourism management.

The delegation also visited the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, where they learned about its collection, resources, and digital services.
