The EUSAAP Conference 2025 Macau, jointly organised by the University of Macau (UM), the European Union Studies Association Asia Pacific (EUSAAP), the Institute of European Studies of Macau, and the European Union Studies Association – Macau (EUSA-Macau), took place at UM on 8 and 9 June. The conference, themed ‘The EU, its Policies and Relations in Times of Transitions’, brought together over 70 scholars, researchers, and experts in European studies from 19 countries and jurisdictions across the Asia-Pacific region and Europe. Attendees shared insights on the EU’s ever-changing policies and its complex relationships with global partners (particularly in the Asia-Pacific region).
This was the second time that the EUSAAP Conference was held at UM. The two-day event featured ten sessions covering subjects including international relations, political science, history, law, economics, cultural studies, nature, and environmental science. As an important academic event in the field of European studies in the Asia-Pacific region, the EUSAAP Conference aims to assess the EU’s current and emerging positions, and the relationships it cultivates with regard to major global transitions and challenges (particularly in the Asia-Pacific region).
