The University of Macau (UM) is the only comprehensive research-oriented public university of international standing in Macao. With English as the primary medium of instruction, the university offers an international and multicultural learning environment.

UM is now accepting applications for direct admission to its bachelor’s degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year. Students with public examination results or who meet the general admission requirements for bachelor’s degree programmes can apply from today until 9 April 2026.

*Mainland Chinese students can only apply to UM with their Gaokao results of the current year.

Ÿ  Exames Nacionais do Ensino Secundário (ENES), Portugal

Ÿ  General Certificate of Education – Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) / International Advanced Level (IAL)

Ÿ  International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

Ÿ  Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) & American College Board Advanced Placement (AP)

Ÿ  American College Testing (ACT) & American College Board Advanced Placement (AP)

Ÿ  Canadian Secondary School Qualifications

Ÿ  Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)

Higher education qualifications

Ÿ  Holders of a bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or higher diploma

Ÿ  Students who are currently enrolled in or have previously studied a bachelor’s degree programme at another higher education institution

Ÿ  Applicants who hold an admission offer for a current-year bachelor’s degree programme
