Winter is hardly the best time to hit the beach, but over 50 University of Macau (UM) students and alumni recently visited the Hac Sa Beach to pick up rubbish left behind by tourists and local residents. At the end of the day, they collected several big bags of debris, revealing the natural beauty of the beach. This beach clean-up activity was the third community activity under UM’s Peer Support Programme, and it aimed to convey the message to the public that it’s in everyone’s hands to protect the Earth and the environment.
