The University of Macau (UM) organised visits for around 1,100 students, faculty, and staff to the National Security Education Exhibition, which was jointly presented by the Macao SAR government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR. Led by University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng Peter, Rector Yonghua Song, and Vice Rector Mok Kai Meng, the visits deepened UM members’ understanding of the national security system and fostered a sense of patriotism among them.

Lam Kuok Seng, a student in the Faculty of Business Administration and Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College, and vice captain of the UM National Flag Team, said that he was impressed by the artificial intelligence robots featured in this year’s exhibition. He added that Macao’s youth should contribute to the security and development of Macao and the country. Erpan·Usan, a student in the Faculty of Science and Technology and president of the University of Macau Postgraduate Association’s General Assembly, said that the country’s remarkable achievements in infrastructure and development filled him with awe. He added that he would share his experiences and insights with his peers to help them better understand the importance of national security.
