A delegation led by Gan Lin, secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan University, visited the University of Macau (UM) today (17 April) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement on new energy power systems and equipment to deepen cooperation between the two universities.

Under the witness of Song and Gan, Zhou Wanhuan, acting dean of UM’s Faculty of Science and Technology, and Zhao Yuhui, secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan University’s College of Electrical Engineering, signed the cooperation agreement. Song said that UM and Sichuan University have achieved fruitful results in student and faculty exchanges and joint academic research in recent years and will foster the collaborative training of pharmacology talent. The signing of this cooperation agreement symbolises the two universities’ joint efforts in promoting talent cultivation, technological cooperation, and exchanges and visits in the field of new energy power systems and equipment. In addition, the delegation visited the Ministry of Education Frontiers Science Center for Precision Oncology, the Centre for Chinese History and Culture and the University Gallery, and spoke highly of UM’s development in recent years.
