The University of Macau (UM) Cantonese Debating Team won the championship at this year’s inter-varsity debate competition. This is the sixth consecutive year that UM has won the championship at this event. Organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau and hosted by the Debating and Speech Culture Association of Macao, this year’s competition attracted students from six higher education institutions in Macao, namely UM, Macau Polytechnic Institute, Macau Security Force Superior School, Macau University of Science and Technology, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau, and the City University of Macau.
