The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Education recently held an orientation activity to welcome the first cohort of students in its Doctor of Education (EdD) Programme. Supported by an interdisciplinary team in the faculty, the programme aims to provide management training for educational professionals at all levels.
As a professionally-oriented advanced learning programme, the EdD programme combines cutting-edge research outcome with practical skills and targets educational professionals in various fields with management experience. The programme covers topics related to management and development at higher education institutions, K-12 schools, for-profit companies, non-profit agencies, and government organisations. It adopts an intensive teaching model and senior faculty members will provide one-to-one supervision for students on research thesis development.
