The Office of Sports Affairs of the University of Macau (UM) and the Macau Squash Association on 11 June to 13 June and 18 June and 20 June co-organised the World Squash Federation Level 1 Coaching and Refresher Course. The course aimed to promote squash in Macao and nurture more professional coaches in this sport. The course covered various topics, including essential knowledge in squash coaching, teaching skills, injury prevention， and physical training. Course participants are required to pass a written test and a technical examination before they are allowed to join the 20-hour practical training. Course instructor Lim Chee Ming says that apart from teaching knowledge and skills, a good coach must also develop a positive attitude and good leadership skills.
