The University of Macau (UM) today (10 June) held ‘Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the University of Macau: University Lecture Series: On Ocean Hydrodynamics, Eutrophication, Hypoxia, Trend and Mitigation in the Greater Bay Area’. Gan Jianping, an expert of physical oceanography, was the keynote speaker. During the talk, he discussed the current state, causes, consequences, and development trends of eutrophication/hypoxia in the waters of the Greater Bay Area and proposed strategies to address them.
