The University of Macau (UM) and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University today (13 May) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on collaboration in education and science. According to the MOU, both parties will establish a long-term partnership and will strengthen collaboration in academic research, scientific research, and student exchange, based on the principles of mutual benefit, mutual promotion, and common development, in order to promote the development of higher education in Hangzhou and Macao.

The MOU was signed by Yonhua Song, rector of UM, and Chen Zhong, president of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. According to Rector Song, the Macao SAR government and UM have always valued the exchange of knowledge in higher education between Macao and Hangzhou. He expressed hope that the signing of the MOU would further deepen the ties between the two universities and would help to nurture talent for the new era. Chen expressed hope that the signing of the MOU would take the collaboration between the two institutions to a new level.
