The Postgraduate Association of the University of Macau (UM) held the first youth summit for postgraduate students from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 15 student leaders from different universities in the area were invited to participate in the event, which aimed to increase students’ understanding of the economic and academic environment in the Greater Bay Area so that they will be ready to grasp opportunities in the future. During the event, Paul Pang, dean of students at UM, and Zeng Weiling, president of the General Assembly of the UM Postgraduate Association, gave welcome speeches. Yuen Chun Chau, director general of the association, also gave a speech. Later in the event, Prof Wang Jianwei from the Faculty of Social Sciences, who is also the director of the Institute of Global and Public Affairs, gave a talk titled ‘Sino-US Relations: Cooperation or Confrontation?’.
