The University of Macau (UM) Congregation 2012 will be held on 18 June 2012 (Monday) at 16:00 at the Macau Forum. Dr. Chui Sai On, chief executive of Macao SAR and chancellor of UM, will officiate at the ceremony.

This year, UM will graduate approximately 1,100 students from the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences. The first group of Honours College graduates will also receive their certificates at the congregation. University Assembly and University Council members, government officials, representatives from the education sector, community leaders, as well as parents and UM staff will attend the ceremony to witness the special moment and give their best wishes to the graduates. The UM Anthem will be performed at the congregation by University of Macau Choir, Symphonic Band and String Orchestra for the first time .

Graduating students are required to visit the registration counter at the Macau Forum on the ceremony day between 14:00 and 14:45 to pick up the seat card, which will be denied to latecomers. All graduating students are requested to be seated by 15:00 for certificate presentation demonstrations and rehearsals.

Those who have confirmed the need to rent the graduation gowns are requested to complete on-site rental formalities and return the gowns by 19:00 of the same day. Due to the lack of parking spaces near the event venue, participants are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
