On 22 March (Thursday) and 23 March (Friday), the University of Macau (UM) will hold the 23rd and 24th lectures of the Distinguished Lecture Series respectively. UM’s Distinguished Lecture Series is organized by UM, with Melco Crown Entertainment being the chief-sponsor and Henry Fok Foundation being the co-sponsor.

The purpose of the Distinguished Lecture Series is to provide opportunities for UM students to learn from distinguished people from different sectors, and to broaden their knowledge and horizons.

The 23rd lecture will focus on China’s foreign affairs and international law, and will take place in Room L105, Luso-Chinese Building, UM.

The 24th lecture will be about the international law and the peaceful resolution of international disputes, and will take place at Auditorium II, UM Library.

Both lectures will begin at 15:15, and both will be conducted in Mandarin, with simultaneous interpretation into English. Keynote speakers for the two lectures will be Huang Huikang, director general of the Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Xue Hanqin, judge of the International Court of Justice, respectively.
