At the eighth National Civil Engineering Forum for Graduate Students (NCEFGS 2010), a paper by Mu Heqing, a PhD student of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), the University of Macau (UM), received a student paper award. The conference was held at Zhejiang University. More than 300 submissions were made and 216 papers were accepted. Participants came from all around the country, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Macau, and National Central University. Through the extensive peer review and presentation at the conference, Mu Heqing’s paper stood out and was selected as one of the18 papers to receive the student paper award.
