The University of Macau (UM) Cantonese Debating Team recently won a championship at a local inter-varsity debate competition organised by the Tertiary Education Services Office. The team also won the Best Debater Award in two preliminary rounds. Debate topics in the competition revolved around hot current topics, including the control of tourist numbers, the joint admission test, the new central library, and online transport networks.
