Some say that UM is a magical tower, the higher you go up, the older you get, and the further you can see. Some describe UM as a mysterious propeller, pulling in the little details of college life while pushing students forward. Some see UM as a town where students are considered an important part of the community. Everyone loves a place for a different reason. Why do you love UM?

Mark

“UM provides many internship opportunities for students. For example, my friends and I have joined the Campus Entrepreneurship Programme. I think that going to college is not only about acquiring knowledge; it is also about finding what you want to do with your life after graduation. I hope to put my knowledge into practice and gain hands-on experience through these entrepreneurship activities.”

Ally

“I love UM’s new campus. It is very nice and you can meet people from around the world.”

Esther

“I love the beautiful campus. My teachers are very helpful and my friends at the residential college are all very nice to me.”

Emily

“UM provides many exchange opportunities for students, and I have made friends with people from different parts of the world. The campus is very big, the way you would expect a university campus to be.”

KK

“UM has given me a lot of opportunities to develop different skills. I have learned how to be a self-learner, how to communicate with others, and how to organise activities.”

Jacky

“English is the main medium of instruction at UM and it gives me an opportunity to improve my English. The staff at the residential colleges provide good care for the students and encourage them to think independently.”

Lawrence

“UM has the most beautiful campus in Macao. The academic atmosphere is very good as well. The residential college system also makes it stand out from the other local universities. There are many different student organisations at UM and UM Choir is my favorite .”
