The University of Macau (UM) recently hosted the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence 2019 (IJCAI 2019). The event attracted about 3,500 researchers and experts in the field from 50 countries and regions. During the event, participants had in-depth discussions on the current development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its future. This year, 4,752 papers were submitted to the conference, with 850 of them accepted by the panel, which was the highest number in the conference’s history.

The conference included 47 workshops, 34 featured presentations, 16 CEO forums, and more than 40 parallel forums, covering various topics, including the development of AI technologies in the past 50 years.
