As is known to all, smoking is one of the main causes of numerous chronic diseases and respiratory disease. Second-hand smoke has been classified as class one carcinogen. To teach staff and students the harmful effects of tobacco on our environment and health, the University of Macau (UM) organized a series of health promotion activities from March to May 2010 with the aim of creating a smoke-free environment.
