The competition was divided into two stages, a proposal stage and a final stage. Awards were presented to outstanding projects in three categories, namely UM Fitness, UM Smart Energy, and UM Job Hunter. The UM ‘Team A’ won the first prize in the UM Fitness category for their App that helps students make friends and organise sports-related information. The UM ‘Team B’ won the first prize in the UM Smart Energy category for their App that uses speech recognition and natural language processing technology to gather data related to power consumption at UM.
