UM’s state key lab of Internet of Things holds annual academic meeting

The University of Macau’s (UM) State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City recently held an academic meeting. Faculty members and students of the lab gave 18 keynote speeches, in which they reported the current progress of the research projects of the different research teams in the lab.

The meeting was chaired by the lab’s deputy director Prof Jia Weijia. Yonghua Song, rector of UM and director of the state key lab; Paulo Cheang, committee member of the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund; and Zhou Peng from the central government’s liaison office in Macao, delivered speeches at the meeting. They expressed heartfelt congratulations on the successful organisation of the academic meeting and expressed their hope that participants would make a contribution to the advancement of science and technology as well as Macao’s development into a smart city.
