The 12th International Conference on the Legal Reforms of Macau in the Global Context – New Challenges and Developments in Contemporary Criminology and Their Impact in Criminal Law, organised by the Centre for Law Studies, Faculty of Law, University of Macau (UM), will be held on 24 October and 25 October at UM. All are welcome.

During the event, experts and scholars from Portugal, the Netherlands, Brazil, the United Kingdom, mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao will have in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics, including new challenges and developments in contemporary criminology and their impact on criminal law; security and criminal policies; juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, and criminal policies; criminality in Macao; victimology and crime victims’ rights; new challenges in contemporary criminal law; and criminal globalisation and transnational crimes.

The two-day conference will be held in the auditorium of the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, with simultaneous interpretation into Chinese, English, and Portuguese.
