A group of faculty members and students from the University of Macau’s (UM) residential colleges, led by Lui Che Woo College Master Yip Ming Chuen and Choi Kai Yau College Master David Pong, visited Jilin province at the invitation of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR and Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Exchange Service Centre of Jilin Province.
The delegation visited Jilin University and Northeast Normal University. UM students exchanged ideas and shared experience with students from the two universities. The two universities also arranged a series of lectures for UM students to learn about the history of China. Participants described the trip as fruitful, adding that they learned a lot about the history and culture of Jilin. Some of them expressed hope that the trip would strengthen communication between faculty members and students from Macao and Jilin.
