Eight University of Macau (UM) students recently participated in the National Model United Nations New York Conference 2016. The conference is the largest Model United Nations (UN) activities in the United States. This year’s event attracted more than 5,000 students from hundreds of universities around the world. UM was the only university from Macao to participate in this event, and received a certificate for its sixth consecutive attendance. Led by Prof Wang Jianwei, head of the Department of Government and Public Administration, the UM delegation also visited the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the UN and the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the UN.
