The Fencing Team of the University of Macau returned with flourishing prizes at the 13th National University Fencing Championship, including one gold, three bronzes and three fifth-ranked honors.

Lei Man Kit was awarded the bronze prize in Men’s C Grade (professional) Foil Fencing Competition. Pan Jing Sheng beat the competitors and claimed the first in Men’s A Grade Epee Fencing Competition. The Fencing Team added another bronze to their total tally when Chen Nan got the third prize in Women’s A Grade Foil Competition, followed by Cheong Un Teng, who ranked the fifth.

The Epee Fencing Team, consisting Lei Sio Kei, Pan Jing Sheng, Gao Shan and Sam Chi Kei, placed fifth in Men’s A Grade Team Epee Fencing Competition while the sabreurs Xie Hui, Cao Nan and Sam Chi Kei won the same honor in Men’s A Grade Sabre Fencing Competition.

As one of the highest-level fencing championships among national universities, the 13th National University Fencing Championship attracted 28 universities, over four hundred athletes, to participate.
