The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities is to hold an international conference on “Macau and Sino-U.S.Relation” from Dec 11 to Dec 12 in STDM Auditorium, University of Macau Library. Professors and scholars from the Mainland of China, United States, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau are invited to attend the meeting.

The seminar will explore the current situation, potential challenges and future trends of Sino-U.S. Relations, as well as the implications for Macau. The keynote speeches will be chaired by Professor Harry Harding from Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University and Professor Zhang Shuguang, vice-rector of Shanghai International Studies University. Sessions of the conference will be organized around five panels entitled “ Historical Review and Recent Trend”, “ Imagines and perspectives”, “Impacts and Challenges” and “Macau and the Pressing Issues I&II”.

The conference will be conducted in English. All are welcomed.
