The University of Macau’s (UM) Pearl Jubilee College (PJC) recently received a donation from Macau Hualong Elevator Company Limited, which is expected to provide MOP 60,000 every year in scholarships to outstanding students of PJC.

PJC held the scholarship establishment ceremony on 13 March. UM’s Vice Rector (Student Affairs) Prof. Haydn Chen, PJC Master Prof. George Watt, PJC Senior Fellow and Dean of Students Dr. Peter Yu, as well as representatives from Hualong attended the ceremony.

Prof. Watt expressed thanks to Hualong for its generous donation, noting that the donation would be used to create scholarships to reward students with excellent academic performance, leadership skills, and contributions to PJC.

Currently PJC has 200 students, which is expected to increase to nearly 400 once the new campus becomes fully operational.
