The Cross-strait Postgraduate Students Symposium, with the theme being “Youth and Social Responsibility: Reflection and Action”, opened today (11 March) at the University of Macau (UM). The three-day event is organised by UM’s Postgraduate Association and attended by postgraduate students from nearly 40 universities in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Taiwan University, Taiwan Chengchi University, UM, and the Macau University of Science and Technology. These postgraduate students will discuss hot issues and reflect on the correct attitude today’s youth should have as well as the responsibilities they should fulfill when faced with major social events.
