Prof Feng Da-Hsua, senior vice president of Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, gave a lecture entitled “Roles and Responsibilities of Asian Universities in a New Global Academic-Business Paradigm” at the University of Macau (UM) on 7 March. In his lecture, which is the fourth of UM’s lecture series on liberal arts education, Prof Feng discussed the importance of liberal arts education in the future development of Asian universities. Prof Feng was born in India. He received a bachelor degree in physics and a PhD degree in physics from Drew University and the University of Minnesota, respectively. He has rich education and work experience in the US, Singapore, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
