After winning the landmark first bronze medal at last year’s UCI Indoor Cycling World Championships, Wong Hang Cheong, PhD student of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), University of Macau (UM), and technician of the Automotive Engineering Laboratory affiliated with FST, won a bronze medal again at this year’s championships held in Japan. Wong competed against strong athletes from Germany and Czech at the men’s individual preliminary and advanced to the final with a ranking of No. 4, and finally he won a bronze medal with an Asian-record-breaking score of 165.31.
