Today is International Women’s Day. The University of Macau (UM) and the Women’s General Association of Macau (WGAM) co-organized a talk on the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer at UM in an attempt to enhance women’s awareness of the importance of preventing cervical cancer. Keynote speaker Dr. Lau Ngan Va, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology from the Women’s Health Protection Centre, WGAM, told the audience about the importance of preventing cervical cancer as well as relevant statistics about the disease. More than two hundred staff and students attended the talk.
