A delegation led by Yang Zongkai, director of the expert advisory committee on educational digitalisation under the Ministry of Education and former president of Central China Normal University (CCNU), visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two sides held in-depth discussions on artificial intelligence in education, the development of digital learning environments, educational data science, and the sharing of educational resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Song gave the delegation an overview of UM’s latest developments, including the progress of its campus currently under construction in the Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Fan Lianghuo, dean of the Faculty of Education (FED) at UM, along with several FED faculty members, introduced the faculty’s recent developments and achievements in academic research, talent cultivation, international cooperation, educational technology, and research innovation.
Yang shared CCNU’s experience and research layout in digital learning, the application of big data in education, and the digital transformation of education. Both sides expressed strong interest in further strengthening cooperation through the joint development of research platforms, the sharing of academic resources, and the cultivation of top-tier educational talent.
