A delegation led by Yu Huarong, secretary of the Party Committee of the China Association of Inventions, visited the University of Macau (UM) today (30 October) and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties held discussions on topics such as the development of smart transport and ways to strengthen cooperation in various areas.
During the meeting, Song gave an overview of UM’s developments, the development of its disciplines, and its research achievements. He also highlighted UM’s development orientations as well as the four reasons that make UM a unique university. Yu spoke highly of UM’s recent research achievements. Other members of the delegation outlined the China Association of Inventions’ research layout in smart transport, and presented an overview of relevant applications and future plans. They also suggested potential cooperation in areas such as the collection of traditional artworks. In addition, the delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City and engaged in in-depth discussions with researchers on topics such as technological innovation and the commercialisation of research results.
