A delegation led by Sun Youhong, president of Southeast University, visited the University of Macau (UM) on 22 October and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties held in-depth discussions on topics such as campus planning, the development of disciplines, and university development.
During the meeting, Song highlighted UM’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and talent cultivation. He pointed out that both UM and Southeast University are important members of several alliances and have ample room for cooperation, particularly in areas such as the development of disciplines and technological innovation. He also expressed hope that the two universities will join hands to foster exchanges and collaborative innovation in more areas.
The delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City and gained an in-depth understanding of UM’s recent research achievements and future plans. They spoke highly of UM’s rapid development. In addition, they visited the UM Wu Yee Sun Library to learn about its collection resources and digital services.
