A delegation from the University of Macau (UM) participated in the 2025 European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference and Exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 9 to 12 September. The delegation showcased UM’s recent achievements in teaching, research, and internationalisation, and held discussions with representatives from over 80 higher education institutions worldwide, as well as with higher education representatives from various countries.

The EAIE Conference and Exhibition is the largest and most influential annual higher education event in Europe. This year’s edition attracted nearly 7,000 participants from over 110 countries and regions. Wang Chunming, director of the UM Global Affairs Office, and his team set up a booth at the exhibition, where they held in-depth discussions with representatives from world-leading universities, as well as with higher education representatives from various countries. Topics discussed included promoting academic collaboration and student and faculty exchanges.

In addition, the UM delegation visited several universities in Sweden. At Malmö University, the two parties held a meeting and exchanged an agreement on student exchanges. At Lund University, the delegation visited the School of Economics and Management (LUSEM) and the Faculty of Medicine, and explored potential cooperation in areas such as business administration, data science, and public health. They also attended the LUSEM Partner Day, where they exchanged views with representatives from some of the world’s leading business schools.
