Lui Che Woo College (LCWC) at the University of Macau (UM) organised a study tour to Singapore to broaden its students’ global perspectives. During the trip, the group of 22 LCWC students and faculty members stayed at the College of Alice & Peter Tan at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and engaged in exchanges with the college’s students and faculty members to gain insights into its unique college culture. Participating students said that the trip fostered a rich learning environment through cultural immersion, academic exploration, and experiential learning across disciplines, deepening their understanding of different perspectives.
The trip was supported by the University of Macau Development Foundation. The group also visited the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre and the Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk at NUS, which sparked discussions on practical applications and critical thinking. In addition, the group toured Nanyang Technological University to experience Singapore’s dynamic academic environment.
The trip also included visits to iconic landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands and the National Museum of Singapore, as well as a guided bike tour of the city, which provided the LCWC members with an immersive cultural experience in Singapore.
