A delegation from the residential colleges of the University of Macau (UM) attended the 10th Educational Forum on Modern Residential College System held at Xi’an Jiaotong University. The event brought together over 300 experts, scholars, faculty, and students from more than 40 universities in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan to share experiences on residential college education. A paper presented by a UM faculty member and a student at the forum received positive feedback from experts and won an outstanding paper award.

Under the theme ‘innovation in residential college system amid the digital transformation of education’, the forum featured keynote speeches, special reports, sub-forum discussions, visits, and exchange sessions. Wong Man Chung, college master of Cheong Kun Lun College (CKLC) at UM, delivered a keynote speech on the implementation of whole-person education at CKLC. Lin Jiayin, a student of Stanley Ho East Asia College (SHEAC) at UM, and Chan U Wai, resident fellow of SHEAC, received an outstanding paper award for their paper. In addition, a paper by Seng I Teng, resident fellow of Chao Kuang Piu College at UM, was selected for inclusion in the collection of outstanding papers.
