Choi Kai Yau College (CKYC) of the University of Macau (UM), Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and Muse College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) jointly organised the 2025 FC Lo Greater Bay Area Study Tour. Nearly 70 students and faculty members from the three universities were selected to participate in the 11-day tour to conduct regional surveys and field visits. Through industry-academia integration activities, cultural visits, and academic discussions, the study tour aimed to help students understand national development strategies and contribute to the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The opening ceremony for the study tour took place at CUHK on 27 May. Janny Leung, college master of CKYC at UM; Kwan Mei Po, head of Chung Chi College at CUHK; and Chen Yongqin, college master of Muse College at CUHK-Shenzhen, delivered welcome addresses at the ceremony. They emphasised that whole-person education is central to residential college system, with community engagement and field studies serving as important components of experiential learning outside the classroom. They also expressed hope that the students would broaden their horizons and develop a stronger sense of national identity through the study tour.
The study tour programme, now in its third year, is sponsored by Lo Foo Cheung, founder and chairman of FC Packaging Holding Limited.
