UMAC Bridges - Linkage of Vision

UMAC Bridges is a campus publication produced by the 4th year English Communication students in the Department of Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Macau. UMAC Bridges, which requires students to apply all the journalistic and desktop publishing skills they have learned throughout their 2nd and 3rd year, demonstrates talents of professionalism in our students.

The aim of this publication is to teach all the UM students to have a sense of news, and to stimulate their mind towards issues happening around them.

Through this publication, the production team can attain actual experience in the publishing industry and cultivate students’ critical mind.

The theme for this publication is “Macau’s Golden Era” as we are experience an unprecedented boom in recent years. We will present you news stories covering the glamors and alarms of this boom. Two online versions and one publication will be published in this semester.

Further more, we would like to give special thanks to our course teacher, Dr Wu Mei. and our teaching assistant, Miss Priscila Hong. Both of them gave us a useful guidance and constructive comments during the process of the workshop.
