The University of Macau (UM) will hold a University of Macau Development Foundation Professorial Fellowship Lecture on 27 November (Thursday). Wu Yonghong, University of Macau Development Foundation Professorial Fellow of Government and Public Administration, will deliver a lecture titled ‘The Color of Taxation: An Empirical Analysis of Income Tax Burden in the US’. He will offer a detailed analysis of racial disparities within the US tax system. All are welcome to attend.

Prof Wu is head of the Department of Government and Public Administration in the Faculty of Social Sciences at UM. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and his PhD from Syracuse University in the US. His research focuses on government budgeting and finance, fiscal policymaking, and science and technology policy. His work has been published in leading academic journals across multiple disciplines.

The lecture will begin at 3:30pm on 27 November (Thursday) in the Auditorium of the UM Library (E2-G012) and will be conducted in English.
